Barisal Debate Association (BDA)
Bhola - Lalmohan, Barisal - Gournadi
Barisal Debate Association, a non-profit organization, has been working to facilitate the art of debate among the students of southern parts of Bangladesh. It was established in 2010 and organized so far three debate festivals in 2011, 2013 and 2014. The prime objective of BDA is to facilitate the art of public speaking among the students southern districts of Bangladesh. It is headquatered in Barisal but works also in Jhalokathi and Patuakhali. BDA also helps governmental and non-nongovernmental efforts in organizing debate initiatives. BDA runs on subscription from the members, and runs many social welfare activities like blood donation camps, distributing warm clothes, distributing reliefs and assisting the victims of natural calamities. The students are the prime focus of attention of BDA. BDA is BEI's working partner is organizing and conducting its peacebuilding workshops in Lalmohan of Bhola and Gournadi of Barisal.
Su-Santa Sechashebi Sangstha
Meherpur - Gangni, Chuadanga - Alamdanga
Su-Shanta Sechashebi Sangstha is working in the youth development sector since 1995. It is a grass-root social development organization based in Alamdanga of Chuadanga. It has recently received Youth Development Prize from the Department of Youth Development, Government of Bangladesh.
Major areas of work Su-Shanta involves in are social forestry, HIV/AIDS, youth development trainings, aquaculture, animal husbandry, solar electricity, sewing training, guti urea distribution, healthcare and many more. It is also an implementing partner of Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, Government of Bangladesh 'Ananda School' project funded by the World Bank.
Su-Shanta receives its funding from Department of Youth Development, Department of Social Services and few others. A wide array of programs Su-Shanta implements is self-financed. Su-Shanta also closely collaborates with other local development organizations.
Su-Shanta is the implementing partner of BEI is conducting and organizing youth peacebuilding workshops in Alamdanga of Chuadanga and Gangni of Meherpur.
Pollee Seba Samity
Kushtia - Kumarkhali, Jhenaidah - Shailakupa
Pollee Seba Samity is Kumarkhali, Kushtia based NGO working in the areas of social reform and development, non-formal primary education, women self-help poverty reduction programmes, reproductive health programmes, anti-tobacco programmes, environmental protection, drug abuse control, child disability support and pro-poor land related campaigns.
Currently, it is working in 2 upazilas of Kushtia in 6 unions comprising 32 villages. So far, Pollee Seba Samity worked with several funding partners and other NGOs. Some of them are BRAC, Dhaka Ahsania Mission, PROSHIKA, Muslim Aid-UK, Bangladesh NGO Foundation, Action in Development, Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD) and with many others.
It is a network partner of Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD), National Anti-Tobacco Alliance, Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE), Public Health Movement (PHM), River Basin Development Network (RBDN), Campaign for Good Governance (SUPRO), Action in Development (AID), Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST) and Ain O Shalish Kendra (ASK).
Pollee Seba Samity has its central office located in Kumarkhali, Kushtia. It has 24 employees to run and manage its operations.
With BEI Pollee Seba Samity is help organizing peacebuilding workshops in Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia and Sailkupa upazila of Jhenaidah. It will help to select participants, arrange workshop venue, manage necessary equipments and overall coordination of the workshop.
Sylhet - Kanaighat, Habiganj - Baniachang
To help the rural impoverished and under-privileged people of Habiganj, Jalalabad Foundation has been a pioneer organization in rendering free health care services and medical assistances to the community people since 2005. JF also works for poor people in ensuring access to safe and pure drinking water. Distributing tube-wells, sewing machines, basic medicines, sanitary latrines, environment friendly stoves etc. among the under-privileged sections of the society are some of the social welfare activities that JF does.
JF provides free health care advice, education advice, health care orientation, financial assistance, Hepatitis-B vaccine etc. to the marginalized people. JF receives funds from international and national development partners like Muslim Aid, GIZ, Save the Children, Islamic Help and many others. Dedicated staffs are responsible for the implementation of various development projects of JF. JF wants to continue its supports for the marginalized and impoverished people of the society for social development and welfare.
JF wants Bangladesh free from child marriage, poverty, political conflicts and violent extremism. With this regard it has shown a keen interest to work with BEI.

Programme for Women Development (PWD)
Sirajganj - Sirajganj Sadar, Pabna - Santhia
Founded in 1999 Program for Women Development (PWD) is renowned women based organization in Sirajgonj. Purpose of setting up PWD was to institutionalize and upheld gender and human rights in development process through women empowerment. PWD particularly focuses on women from extremely vulnerability and suffering from violence
PWD works in 6 upazilas of Sirajgonj district: Sirajgonj Sadar, Belkuchi, Raigonj, Kamarkhand, Ullapara and Kajipur. It works in multiple sectors including women empowerment, education, health and nutrition, handy crafts, setting up micro income generating projects, women and child rights, disabled rehabilitation, disaster management, climate change and violence against women.
PWD currently works with a number of development partners. Some of them are BADC, BRAC, Department of Women Affairs, UNDP, MJF, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, USAID PROGOTI and many more. It is also a network partner of Federation of NGOs in Bangladesh (FNB), Bangladesh Shishu Adhiker Forum (BSAF), Association for Land Reform & Development (ALRD), SUPRO, Khan Foundation, North Bengal Child Rights Forum, National Disable Foundation and many others.
PWD is collaborating with BEI to implement BEI's capacity building workshop with the youth in Ullapara of Sirajgonj and Sathia of Pabna. With the support from local contacts and resources BEI and PWD is working together to arrange and conduct two peacebuilding workshops in these two areas.
Palli Kallyan Shikkha Society (PKSS)
Natore - Singra, Bogra - Shahjahanpur
Established in 1994 in Natore Palli Kallyan Shikkha Society (PKSS) is a non- profit, humanitarian voluntary and social welfare organization. PKSS is a well-known development organization in Natore district.
PKSS aims at strengthening the capacity of rural and urban poor and disadvantaged people through conducting various leadership and awareness training programs and through providing support to poor families. PKSS works at different upazillas of Natore, Rajshahi, Sirajganj, Barguna, Bogra, Gaibandha and Chapi Nawabganj. It is currently implementing 12 projects at different areas of Singra upazilla in Natore and Shibganj of Chapi Nawabganj. Some of its current projects are funded by wide arrays of local and international NGOs like NGO Forum, BRAC, SUPRO, CAMPE, Concern Universal, GIZ, Relief International, MJF etc. A seven-member executive committee and twenty one-member General Body are responsible for managing and implementing the projects and policy decisions of PKSS.
Amrulkasba Students Welfare Organization
Rajshahi - Bagmara, Naogaon - Atrai
Amrulkasba Students Welfare Association is a youth welfare association located in Atrai, Naogoan. It is a local youth-led organization comprising mostly college and university students. Its principal aim is to raise consciousness among the youth in variety of social issues and equip them for the competitive world.
The Association primarily carries out a number of services. Some are running a library for students, free newspapers for students and common people, imparting IT education for students, tuition facilities for needy and helpless children, creating social awareness against child marriage, eve teasing, unhealthy sanitation and environmental pollution. Each year the Association holds two cultural functions to observe National Days.
The Association is supporting BEI is organizing workshops in Bagmara, Rajshahi and Atrai of Naogaon. With the help of local contacts and resources both BEI and Amrulkasba Students Welfare Association is in the process of organizing and conducting the workshops for the youth in these two upazilas.
Loving Care for the Opressed Society (LoCOS)
Jessore - Monirampur, Satkhira - Debhata
To support and uphold the rights of oppressed, underprivileged and disaster-hit people of the society Loving Care for the Oppressed Society (LoCOS) started its activities in Batiaghata of Khulna. It is a NGO working in the Southwest part of Bangladesh.
Poverty reduction, ensuring food security, health and education, technical and income generating support to the marginalized community members, upholding equal rights for men and women, raising social awareness, reproductive health, biodiversity conservation and sustainable agricultural practice are some of the major areas where LoCOS strives to work and bring about positive change.
LoCOS works in Batiaghata and Dacope upazila in altogether 17 unions. It works in, among others, disaster risk reduction, agricultural development, safe water access in saline areas, fish cultivation in paddy fields, acquaculture for income and nutrition and women microentrepreneurship development.
Some of the major supporting partners of LoCOS are European Union, MISEREOR Germany, UNICEF, BRAC, Oxfam, Bangladesh NGO Foundation, World Fish and many others. A considerable amount of work is run by LoCOS's own resources.
LoCOS has 65 full time staffs with 80 volunteers. It is a networking partner of Campaign for Sustainable Rural Livelihood (CSRL), Association of Development Agencies in Bangladesh (ADAB), and KHANI-Action Aid.
Protibondhi Kallyan Samity (PKS)
Mymensingh - Muktagacha, Jamalpur - Jamalpur Sadar
Protibondhi Kallyan Samiti (PKS) is a non- profit, humanitarian, voluntary & social welfare organization established in 2005 in Muktagacha, Mymensingh. PKS aims to improve the socio-economic status of the rural and urban poor, and the disadvantaged people through awareness raising, capacity building, institutional development, entrepreneurial development, health & family planning, informal education and through various income generation activities. PKS concentrates on strengthening the capacity of people through conducting various leadership and awareness building training programs and providing economic and social assistances to poor families. PKS also renders various types of social services to the poor and persons with special needs.
PKS works in different areas of Mymensingh, Jamalpur and Tangail. As a NGO PKS adopts decentralized participatory management system in program implementation. A nine-member Executive committee is elected biennially which look after policymaking and program execution. PKS depends on its own funds derived from donations from different sections of society to implement its projects.
Protiddhoni Student Development Association (SDA)
Nilphamari - Jaldhaka, Lalmonirhat - Patgram
Protiddhoni is a voluntary organization, established in 2011 comprising mostly the students of Tupamari Union of Nilphamari district. Principal objective of Protiddhoni is to create awareness among the students and their parents on the necessity of education through different social works. Apart from these it provides financial assistance in the form of tuition to the impoverished and meritorious students in order to prevent drop-outs from school. Protiddhoni encourages the students for social welfare related activities. It aims to integrate and unify the youth in establishing social harmony and strives to bring about a long term structural change in the areas of education and social development. The organization and its activities have gathered admiration from community people.
